An update of the The Scarlet Pimpernel tale and dubbed
by some as wartime propaganda. The film is set in the 1940s
with the plot based around hordes of refugees fleeing from
the Nazis. This 20th century Pimpernel is somewhat different
to our foppish friend Sir Percy Blakeney. Once again played
by Leslie Howard, this time the Pimpernel is an absent-minded
professor running an escape operation that helps the refugees
